Glycerin and propylene glycol are the main components of the atomizing agent in heat-not-burn tobacco products (HnB), which affect the smoke release of HnB significantly. In this study, the roles of the glycerin and propylene glycol as the atomizing agent on smoke release of HnB were studied by using a fixed-bed reactor system. The effects of glycerin to propylene glycol ratio in the atomizing agent, and the content of atomizing agent in the HnB were investigated. Gas chromatographymass spectrometer (GC-MS) was used to analyze the condensable components in the released smoke, and gas chroma
The present paper describes the thermal oxidation of a mixture applied as hot melt adhesive and particularly of its essential polymeric component ethylene-propylene copolymer Licocene 2602 either virgin or grafted by acrylic acid. Chemiluminescence in oxygen under both nonisothermal and isothermal conditions was used as the tool for evaluation of oxidation stability of samples. The effect of various concentrations of stabiliser Naugard XL1 acting as a metal deactivator and phenolic antioxidant was also determined and the antioxidant selected was found to be an efficient thermooxidative stab
Bacterial wilt as a soil-borne disease was caused by Ralstonia solanacearum, and seriously damages the growth of tobacco. Integrated biocontrol method was explored to control bacterial wilt. Nevertheless, the long-term effects of the integrated biocontrol method on soil bacterial community, soil physicochemical properties and the incidence of bacterial wilt are not well understood. In this study, B. amyoliquefaciens ZM9, calcium cyanamide and rice bran were applied to tobacco fields in different ways. The disease index and incidence of tobacco bacterial wilt (TBW), soil physicochemical prop
Drought causes not only the decrease of tobacco yield and quality, but also the lowering of net photosynthetic rate, leading to reactive oxygen species accumulation and even the death of plants. Salicylic Acid is involved in regulating many plant physiological processes and has increasingly been applied to improve tolerance in plants exposed to drought stress. To explore the regulating mechanism of SA, flue-cured tobacco K326 was used in the hydroponic experiments to design PEG drought stress. The photosynthetic characteristics, antioxidant enzymes activities and osmotic regulatory substanc
In order to study the effect of circumference and filter ventilation rate on the release of alkaline flavor components in cigarette mainstream smoke, CH2Cl2 extraction and GC/MS analysis were used to measure the mainstream smoke of cigarette samples with different circumference and filter ventilation. The release amount of 21 kinds of basic flavor components in tobacco. The results showed that: The various basic flavor components and the total amount of basic flavor components released per gram of shredded tobacco showed an increasing trend with the increase of the circumference of the ciga
